Real Photo Post Card (RPPC) with view to west on the west side of Ashton of Tim Van Sickle with four-dog team running in American Dog Derby. Van Sickle took 3rd place in 1918. There exists a nearly identical photo with hand-written note that identifies the buildings in background as "D. K. Rankin house." Several mushers in the very early American Dog Derby used four-dog teams. The American Dog Derby added rules in 1921 that required between five and seven dogs.
